Amit Shah Targeted Rahul Gandhi Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra People Protesting Whose Relatives Killed During Congress Tenure

Amit Shah on Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday (20 January) has targeted the ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra’ launched under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi. He claimed that in Assam, ‘people whose relatives were killed during the Congress tenure’ are protesting against Rahul Gandhi’s ‘visit’ to the state.

Addressing the passing out parade of the first batch of 5 newly formed Assam Police Commando battalions in Guwahati, Amit Shah criticized the Congress and alleged that during the earlier Congress government, people had to pay bribes to get jobs. Shah claimed that in the current rule of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), one does not have to pay even a single penny for employment.

What did Amit Shah say?

He said, “Rahul Gandhi has recently started Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra. I asked some journalists here what happened in Assam? They told me that during their (Congress’s) tenure there was injustice at various places, Assam “Thousands of youth were killed and Assam was in the grip of militancy. The family members of those killed at various places opposed this Nyaya Yatra.”

The Assam leg of the Bharat Jodo Nyaya Yatra started on January 18 and will continue till January 25. During this period, a distance of 833 kilometers will be covered in 17 districts of the state.

‘Northeastern regions remained disturbed during decades of Congress rule’

The BJP leader said that in the last 10 years, there has been a big change in the law and order of the country under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He further said that Jammu and Kashmir, Naxalite areas and North-Eastern regions remained disturbed during the decades of Congress rule. Now, violence in these areas has reduced by 73 percent and this is a pleasant change for us.

Praising Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, he said that when I came (to Assam) during the elections, we had promised to provide one lakh jobs without any corruption. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has fulfilled that promise.

‘Assam would not have been a part of India but of Bangladesh’

Meanwhile, while releasing the book ‘Assam’s Bahadur-Lachit Borphukan’, he said that if the Ahom commander Borphukan and other rulers had not thwarted the efforts of the Mughals and other invaders, Assam would not have been a part of India but of Bangladesh. The book ‘Assam’s Braveheart-Lachit Borphukan’ is written in English by eminent author Arup Kumar Dutta and has been translated into 23 scheduled languages.

Congress created division among the people of the area

The Union minister alleged that Congress had created ‘divisiveness among the people of the region’, but Prime Minister Modi, through his policy of development and peace in the Northeast, has ensured that people share the goal of making the country the most developed nation in the world. Confidence can be generated to move towards.

He said that the main reason for Assam being a part of India is that the armies of many invaders from Khilji to Aurangzeb were defeated and sent back.
